How to use "Secure in 15 Security Task and Calendar Tool"

The 15 Minutes to a Secure Business approach simplifies security management by outlining tasks in easy-to-follow daily, weekly, and monthly actions.

This calendar tool lets you interactively create a custom calendar which schedules tasks into 15-minutes blocks based on your security domain of interest. As you work through the calendar, you will establish repeatable, manageable, and effective practices.

Using the calendar is very simple. You begin by simply selecting a start week from calendar to view a 4-week set of daily tasks. You can also select one or many security domains that you want daily task for - and the calendar will adjust for only those tasks. The tool also provides links to a number of other resources and videos that help you perform these tasks in a short span of time each day to manage security of your Business.

Overview

Settings Section Settings section is organized as an accordion with four expandable/collapsible sub-sections.

Click on 'Select your Start Week' to select a start-week to create a four week calendar of security daily tasks. The task calendar in the middle section will be immediately refreshed to display the daily tasks for the selected dates. Next you can view and print all your tasks with the 'Download Your Tasks' button (see far right on the tool). Click on 'Select Security Domain' to see the security wheel and select the security domains you want daily task for - click on each domain and choose any combination of Endpoint, Data, Network, Web, Email and/or Management. As you change the domains selected, the calendar will adjust for only those tasks. Clicking on any domain on Security wheel toggles the selection status of that domain. Select All and Select None links are provided to quickly select all domains or deselect all domains respectively. Weekly View Section
Weekly View Section shows one week schedule of applicable tasks that should be performed on respective dates. You can go to next or previous week to see the tasks on a 4 week calendar.

Security Task Details
The right most section of the tool displays the details of each security task shown in your 4-week calendar, by date, as it appears in your custom plan. You can scroll through the list to review all tasks. Click on the "Download Your Tasks" button at the bottom to download and print a customized PDF plan that lists step by step process of performing these tasks organized on a 4-week calendar for your selected period.
